Aaron Finan and Sophie Addison on stage

We’re doing Edinburgh Fringe 2025

We’ve been dreaming about this for so long, and it’s finally happening! We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that Lost in Translation will be making its Edinburgh Fringe debut in 2025, and we couldn’t be more excited to be doing it with the fantastic team at Gilded Balloon at Appleton Tower!

For us, bringing the show to Edinburgh Fringe feels like a huge milestone. It’s something we’ve always aspired to, and to be taking this leap onto such a world-renowned stage is truly incredible. This year both Aaron and Sophie from the core cast will be in Edinburgh each night! We’ll also be joined by a few of our Adelaide regular guest stars, and a bunch of newbies from all over the world.

We’ll be bringing our unique brand of linguistic chaos to Edinburgh with two different experiences:

For families and younger audiences, don’t miss “Lost in Translation does PG Potter,” a special PG-rated take on Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, playing for two afternoons only on August 2nd & 3rd at 4:15pm in the Orchard venue at Appleton Tower.

And for the main event, join us for our nightly run at 9pm from August 11th to 24th (excluding Monday, August 18th) in the Bramley venue at Appleton Tower. Each night, we’ll be tackling a different movie that’s been through the translation mangle! Here’s the lineup:

  • Monday 11 August: Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone
  • Tuesday 12 August: LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring
  • Wednesday 13 August: Twilight
  • Thursday 14 August: Pirates of the Caribbean
  • Friday 15 August: Jurassic Park
  • Saturday 16 August: The Mummy (1999)
  • Sunday 17 August: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
  • Tuesday 19 August: LOTR: The Two Towers
  • Wednesday 20 August: Back to the Future
  • Thursday 21 August: Ghostbusters
  • Friday 22 August: Titanic
  • Saturday 23 August: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
  • Sunday 24 August: LOTR: Return of the King

Tickets will be available via EdFringe.com and GildedBalloon.co.uk.

We absolutely can’t wait to share this with you all in Edinburgh! It’s a dream come true, and we hope to see you there!
